KUD “MLADOST 1947
KUD “MLADOST 1947” from Subotica was founded in 2023 with the mission to preserve the name and legacy of the former OKUD Mladost, one of the oldest cultural and artistic associations in Subotica, recognized for safeguarding the cultural heritage of multiethnic Vojvodina.
Today, KUD “MLADOST 1947” proudly serves as the guardian of what OKUD Mladost created, continuing to nurture the cultural heritage of Subotica and its multicultural community. The association organizes a variety of activities and programs, including free folklore schools and regular performances, bringing together members of all ages. With over 250 members of different nationalities, KUD Mladost 1947 continues its mission of promoting, preserving, and expanding the cultural identity of Subotica, with a special emphasis on the values of unity and tradition.
Kéve Folk Dance Ensemble, Ráckeve – Hungary
The aim of the group is to learn the dances and traditions of the Hungarian speaking region and to perform them on the stage in order to acquaint the audience with these old traditoins. In genaral after the performances there is an oppurtunity to learn some easy dance steps from the dancers.The presentations give us a chance to admire not just the amazing dances and music but also the traditional, in every region’s diverse, costumes. From the beginning the Group realized the importance of obtaining and wearing these original and unique clothes.
