Róna Dance Ensemble, HCC Népkör – Subotica
The Róna Dance Ensemble is the representative folk dance group of the Népkör Hungarian Cultural Centre. Its members are passionate devotees of folk art and tradition, who pursue this art form at a high level alongside their studies and professional careers.
With its multiple excellence awards and high-quality performances, the Róna Dance Ensemble has repeatedly proven itself as one of the finest folk dance groups within the Hungarian-speaking world, performing at the most prestigious festivals across the Carpathian Basin.
The ensemble’s performances often transcend the boundaries of traditional folk dance choreography, venturing into the realm of dance theatre based on folk traditions. They have participated in numerous co-productions with both domestic and international dance groups. The ensemble regularly takes part in regional folk dance competitions, both in group and solo categories.
