EX LIBRIS COMPETITION

The Népkör Hungarian Cultural Centre in Subotica invites entries for its EX LIBRIS graphic art competition.

Theme

Preserving Folk Traditions: the folk customs, traditional crafts, folk costumes, and folk dances of my homeland.

The competition is open to the following age categories:

• Up to 10 years of age 
• 11–14 years 
• 15–18 years 
• 19–23 years 
• Professional artists and graphic designers aged 24 and above 

Competition Rules

• Each ex libris must include the inscription EX LIBRIS and the text INTERETNO 25, in addition to the chosen motif. 
• The following information must be clearly indicated on the back of each entry (preferably typed): 
  • full name of the entrant, 
  • age, 
  • name of the school or institution, 
  • full name of the supervising teacher (if applicable), 
  • postal address, 
  • e-mail address. 
• The maximum print size of the ex libris is 15 × 15 cm. 
• Entries created using traditional printmaking techniques as well as digital graphic techniques are accepted. 
• The jury will award the best works with certificates, a competition catalogue, and other prizes. 
• A selection of the submitted works will be presented in an exhibition. 
• Each school or institution may submit a maximum of 20 entries. 
• Two copies of each artwork must be submitted. 
• Submitted works will not be returned after the competition and will become the property of the Népkör Hungarian Cultural Centre. 
• By submitting their works, participants accept all terms and conditions of the competition.
